Artisans, Assemble!

Christian Legacy Integrated Learning and Tutorial Center will be turning 9 years old this month! This is a big cause for celebration, so Artisans, Assemble!

Every Foundation Day, CL holds an event called the School Bazaar where students from each grade level all come together to sell food, drinks, personalized essentials, accessories, and so much more in their respective stalls. Fun booths, games, and activities for people of all ages are also set up for everyone to enjoy.

It has always been a fun event that most students look forward to despite the preparations and workload. However, with this pandemic, it would be unusual to hold anything like a bazaar, or any outdoor activities for the matter. Undaunted, CL has made it possible to hold an online bazaar that will be held for the entire month of February.

Aptly titled Artisan, the artists and creative workers of CL came together to envision an Online Bazaar, from Strategy to Operation. For as long as the bazaar had been held, it was mostly the CL Faculty organizing, structuring, and setting up the event. This time, the Grade 12 students of CL will take up the challenge to run the Bazaar.

The students were assigned to three different departments based on their respective strengths, the Administrative Branch who will manage the booths as well as perform accounting and archiving data, the Design Branch where design and aesthetic choices will be made through posters, posts, videos, and the like, and the Tech branch, where the Marketing side of things will be handling the scheduling of posts, the promotion of the event, and assisting the customers through customer service, acquiring their feedback and using that to better the event.

Another adjustment that had been made was that not all Grade Levels will be selling directly. For the Preschool to Grade 6 students, they have been assigned as “Suppliers” where they will be providing their products, for the Grade 7 to 11 students to sell, being the “Sellers”. The sellers can sell their own products themselves in addition to the products that the supplier will provide them to sell. The reason for this change is that the lower grades will find difficulty in making digital transactions directly as they may not have a mode of transactions and payment furthermore that there is even more difficulty selling online than in person.

Of course, if there are businesses or people outside of CL that would like to participate in this event they can become Exclusive Partners and will be able to sell their products and services. A thing to note here is that all the products and services will be purchased through a private Facebook Group that Christian Legacy had specifically made for this event, and those participating will receive an access code for them to get in.

Finally, the third adjustment is the duration of the event. Usually, the school bazaar lasts for a week, but this time, the event is targeted to run for four weeks. This is good mileage for those selling their products.

The Grade 12 class of Christian Legacy with the help of the CL Faculty is working hard to make this event a success. The community has aimed that everyone will get to experience the excitement and joy of this event even from our screens.

We hope you’ll look forward to what Artisan 2021 has in store. Come support it!
