Creative Writing for CL #2_A Story of Culmination

Furious men started to paddle. Away like clockwork, not looking back. A mast unfurls as a mob of chasing people stop by the beach, scrambling to catch them.

Paddle they dig. They dig hard on the water. The wind blows from their back and the furious men dig big holes in the water.

Away they go. Smaller and smaller from shore.

The chasing people bring a boat to the water, shouting as they go. But the furious men continue to paddle away. Smaller and smaller from shore.

The furious men are not escaping. They have instead completed. They do not look back.

The chasing people are not angry. But they say that their work is not done. They look ahead hoping to catch up.

The furious people are proud. The chasing men are stubborn.

The entire village watches as the two boats disappear on the horizon.
