Have you met a true racer? Better yet, what if your classmate is THAT true racer? Ladies and Gentlemen, meet John Dizon, Grade 12 Student under the ABM Strand.
John always loved racing cars. Since he was a young boy he dreamed of becoming a racecar driver. After seeing all the famous racers on TV, he was sure where to set his dreams.
Soon, he was collecting toy cars from Shell and Petron, as well as Hot Wheels. He became more passionate about them as he attended car shows, started go-karting, and attended racing clinics. All this to realize his goal of being a Professional Race Car Driver.
After going through many sessions, training as much as he could every weekend, he finally went pro in 2014. John managed to go through many
struggles such as getting approval from his parents, balancing schoolwork and racing, handling the pressure of his crew’s hopes and his success.
But his support group was solid and he never wavered in praying and trusting God wholeheartedly throughout. At the end of the interview, John leaves us with this message:
“Trust yourself wholeheartedly, convince your parents to support your dreams, push for it. If you guys have big dreams, keep on dreaming big, there will be a time where your dreams will become reality, just keep asking and praying to God for him to help you make it happen.”
