MASK OFF! To mask or not to mask

It’s here! It's finally here! The end of face masks has finally come! Well… Almost according to Executive Order No. 3 from President Bongbong Marcos allows for the "voluntary wearing of face masks in outdoor settings" and reiterates the minimum public health standards. COVID-19 is, after all, still very much present.

I mean… we all know that Covid is here to stay, right? We all know that we simply need to learn and adapt to this new normalcy due to the virus.

Like, the flu used to be a very deadly illness back in the day, but now we usually just take it as an off day or simply have the sniffles.

As someone who used to be terrified of the virus until one day, I got it, and to be honest, I was scared at first, but thankfully, since I already got my vaccine before I caught Covid. It wasn't all that bad.

Yeah, your muscles are sore, and you can't taste or smell anything, but other than that, it felt like I just had the flu.

I know you’re thinking that “Millions died because of Covid-19. Why are you supporting the voluntary wearing of masks outdoors?”

Yes, I know that, but that was before we had our armor against the virus, also known as the vaccines. Millions died because the vaccine that could've helped them was still being developed, but we have it now.

The virus is here to stay, and now we just need to adapt to this new normalcy; having the voluntary wearing of masks outdoors is a pretty big step to said normalcy, if you ask me.
