Renaissance Fair 2023

When you think of a Renaissance era, you think of a time where princesses and fantastical beings existed. In our Renaissance fair, we gave something even better…food and cute trinkets to bring home! Far better than an era where war broke out constantly, am I right?

The Grade 4-12 Royals worked hard to prepare for this Renaissance-like fair! Or should I say, for the biggest fight of their lives. Their hard work most definitely paid off! Each booth was eye-catching and the products/services were like hidden treasures that could only be found in the sacred bazaar. The customers were sure to love the beautifully decorated stalls. I, and many others, left the fair with my hands full and pockets empty. It sure was an interesting experience!

But alas, the era of peace and tranquility left as soon as it came. Rush hour had begun. Soon, war broke out between customers and workers. The customers were flooding in through the door, while the workers could only stand there and watch as the world before them crumbles. Did they give up? No, they persevered, they handled each and every customer with respect and gratitude. They were tired, but the smile on their faces never once faltered.

The battlefield was a mess. Paper cups scattered across the floor, decorations torn into shreds, empty containers nowhere to be found. In the end, we won. We won the battle, customers left satisfied, and we broke even. Victory is ours, and we shall celebrate this moment for many years to come. Until the next bazaar comes, we shall rest.
