Christian Legacy threw open its doors for this School Year 2020-2021 with great expectations. Though this time, it will be through online learning, the new normal of education.

Christian Legacy prepared as early as April to plan and get things ready for this Academic Year. The faculty had a 3-Day Teachers Training that was led by Sir James, Ms. Gill, and Ms. Badette. The training covered techniques in Classroom Management and the use of Online Tools. The CL Infrastructure is now run by Google Suite Productivity Tools and then complemented by the Zoom Meeting App.
After the training, the teachers had a demo, to show the learning acquired and to make sure that each had a certain level of comfortability with each tool and app they use. The training also ensured that the teachers will be able to build a strong connection with their students once classes start.
For Online Classes, these were scheduled with 40 Minutes per class with 20 minutes of rest time in between. After every Online Class, there will be Google Classroom activities to combat “Zoom Fatigue”. The students were encouraged to rest their eyes and their bodies in these break times to remain physically and emotionally healthy.
The Pandemic wasn’t able to stop the advocacy of Christian Legacy’s Directress, Mrs. Joy Muleta. In fact, it has strengthened it even more. Ms. Joy and the CL Team made sure that Chapel Service will still be part of the students’ Thursday routine. This time, it will be spent to strengthen the hearts and minds of the students as they navigate this New Normal of Education.
